Simple Story by Sedgwick

The stars twinkled in response, "We are shining brightly for you, Sammy. What would you like to talk about tonight?" Sammy settled down on a comfortable branch and shared his adventures of the day with the stars. He spoke about finding the biggest acorn he had ever seen and how he had helped a lost butterfly find its way home. As Sammy chatted, he noticed a shooting star streaking across the sky. "Oh, look! A shooting star! I've always heard they grant wishes. I wish for all the animals in the forest to have enough food and warmth for the winter." The shooting star sparkled and shimmered, granting Sammy's heartfelt wish. Suddenly, the forest was filled with an abundance of nuts, berries, and cozy nests for every creature. "Thank you, shooting star! That's the best bedtime story ever," Sammy exclaimed, feeling a warm sense of happiness and contentment. The stars whispered, "Sleep well, dear Sammy. Remember, even the smallest among us can make the world a brighter place." With a heart full of joy, Sammy snuggled into his cozy nest, under the twinkling starlit sky, and drifted off to sleep, knowing that his wish had made a difference in the lives of his forest friends. And so, the forest lived happily ever after, bathed in the glow of Sammy's kindness and the stars' eternal light.
